Meet Adam Burton
Pastor. Teacher. Companion on your journey to a deeper walk with Christ.
Helping You Build a Faith That Lasts
Hi, I’m Adam Burton, the pastor of Central Baptist Church in Maysville, Kentucky, where I’ve served since 2018. My calling—and my deep joy—is to help people grow in a vibrant, enduring relationship with Jesus Christ.
Whether you’re new to faith, returning after a long season away, or looking to go deeper, my heart is to walk alongside you with care, compassion, and gospel-centered truth.
A Pastor First
Before becoming the lead pastor at Central, I served in a variety of ministry roles: church planter, worship leader, children’s minister, and youth minister. Each experience shaped my conviction that ministry must be rooted in the Word, centered on Christ, and lived out in real relationships.
In addition to pastoral ministry, I serve as Chaplain with the Maysville Police Department (since 2020), Moderator of the Bracken Association of Baptists, and formerly as President of the Limestone Ministerial Association. I also sit on several local community boards—because ministry doesn’t stop at the church door.
Education & Training
I hold a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (2016), where I was honored with the Ellis Fuller Award for Distinction in Church Ministry. I earned my B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kentucky (2006).
Rooted in Christ, Growing Together
In 2025, I published my first book, Rooted: Building a Faith That Lasts—a discipleship resource designed to help believers establish a solid foundation in Christ. I also created a companion course by the same name, offering video teaching, guided reflection, and practical tools for growth.
In addition, I write regularly on my blog, host The Path of Wisdom podcast, and send out a weekly email newsletter filled with encouragement and biblical insight.
A Bit About Me
I’m a preacher’s kid, now raising a family of my own. My wife, Jessica, is an attorney working in the insurance industry. We’re raising two incredible kids—Riley, who’s athletic, creative, and loves to sing and act, and Silas, our joyful, curious son who keeps us laughing and is always sketching animals or dreaming up science experiments.
When I’m not serving the church or community, you’ll probably find me reading, watching sports, running, or playing golf.
Let’s Connect
