Hi, I’m Adam Burton, the pastor of Central Baptist Church in Maysville, Kentucky, where I’ve served since 2018. My calling is simple: help people grow deep roots in Jesus Christ and build a faith that lasts.

Whether you’re new to faith, coming back after time away, or looking to go deeper, I’m here to walk with you through the journey. Along the way, I bring care, compassion, and gospel-centered truth to every conversation.

A Pastor First

Church Planter & Youth Minister

Before becoming a lead pastor, I served in worship, children’s, and youth ministry. Through each role, I learned that real ministry is rooted in God’s Word and lived out in authentic relationships.

Lead Pastor (2018)

In 2018, I became pastor of Central Baptist Church in Maysville, Kentucky. Since then, my focus has been gospel-centered preaching and walking alongside people as they grow in Christ.

Police Chaplain (2020)

Then in 2020, I started serving as chaplain with the Maysville Police Department. As a result, ministry now extends into the community beyond the church walls.

I also serve as Moderator of the Bracken Association of Baptists.
Additionally, I sit on several local community boards because ministry doesn’t stop at the church door.

Master of Divinity

The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (2016). During my time there, I was honored with the Ellis Fuller Award for Distinction in Church Ministry.

A Bit About Me & My Family

I’m a preacher’s kid, now raising a family of my own. My wife, Jessica, is an attorney working in the insurance industry.

We have two incredible kids. First, there’s Riley, who is athletic and creative with a love for singing and acting. Then there’s Silas, our joyful, curious son who keeps us laughing with his animal sketches and science experiments.

When I’m not serving the church or community, you’ll typically find me reading, watching sports, running, or playing golf.

Rooted in Christ, Growing Together

In 2025, I published my first book, Rooted: Building a Faith That Lasts. It’s a discipleship resource designed to help believers establish a solid foundation in Christ. Furthermore, I created a companion video course with guided reflection and practical tools for growth.

Beyond the book and course, I write regularly on my blog. I also send out a weekly email newsletter filled with encouragement and biblical insight.
