Reflection Questions

  1. When was the last time you felt genuine awe in God’s presence? What would it look like for you to approach worship with a deeper sense of reverence for His holiness?
  2. Isaiah’s encounter with God’s holiness exposed his sin in a way he hadn’t seen before. What might God be revealing to you about your own heart when you honestly examine it in light of His perfection?
  3. Isaiah said “I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips.” How has the spiritual pollution of our culture affected your own walk with God, and what steps can you take to guard your heart?
  4. Have you fully received the cleansing that Christ offers through His sacrifice on the cross? If so, how does that reality shape the way you live and serve today?
  5. God asked “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Where might God be calling you to step out in faith and service, whether in your workplace, neighborhood, family, or church?

What to Do Next

This week, set aside 15 minutes to sit quietly with Isaiah 6. Read it slowly. Ask yourself: “What does this passage reveal about God’s character?” Then ask: “What does it reveal about me?” Write down what comes to mind. If you see sin that needs confessing, confess it. If you sense God calling you to something specific, write it down and take one small step of obedience this week.
